Hi everyone, thank you for visiting notmynaseeb and for your thoughtful (and funny) comments and contributions over these past couple of months. I am happy that this blog resonates with so many of you and that you’ve found comfort in the fact that you’re not the only one going through the (oftentimes) frustrating search for a partner.

This blog started as a way for me to me to share the peculiarities I encountered during my search (well, the peculiarities online, anyway–the stories of my in-person search could fill up a blog of its own!). However, the strange/crazy messages I receive now outnumber the normal ones, and I’m at a point where I no longer log into my accounts to look for potential matches, but rather to find good material for this blog. Therefore, I think it’s time I take a little break from my online search so I can regroup and find new websites to frequent.

I hope to be back sometime early in the new year (unless, of course, I meet someone between now and then!).

In the meantime, I leave you with this treat:
